AirAsia India Ticket Booking
AirAsia India (I5), now known as AIX Connect, is a subsidiary of Air India Limited. It was founded on 28 March 2013 as a low-cost Indian airline headquartered in Bangalore. AirAsia India became the first foreign airline to set up a subsidiary in India. The airline has now merged with Air India Express and ceased operations as AIX Connect. Air India Express is a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian flag carrier airline Air India. AIX Connect has transferred its aircraft and crew to Air India Express. AirAsia India /AIX Connect Hubs and Focus Cities
The primary hub for AirAsia India, or AIX Connect, was based in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. AirAsia India also used to operate international flights. After its merger with Air India Express in October 2024, a few more operating bases were added. The Air India Express has set its hubs in Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kannur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mangalore, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli.

AirAsia India (I5), or AIX Connect, had set a baggage policy for every passenger to ensure a smooth transfer. During its operational period, the airline segregated the allowances depending on the baggage type.

Domestic Flights
The passengers were allowed to carry one checked bag, not weighing more than 23 kg, with a domestic air ticket.
International Flights
The checked baggage limit for passengers flying internationally was around 20 kg for one bag.
Carry-On Baggage
Passengers with an AirAsia Indian or AIX Connect flight ticket were entitled to carry 2 carry bags not weighing more than 7 kg for both domestic and international travel.

AirAsia India, or AIX Connect, was a low-cost carrier that prioritized the comfort of the passengers. The airline offered 2 cabin classes—
Economy Class: A low-fare option. In-flight meals, entertainment, and lounge access were available at an additional charge.
Business Class: An upgraded premium cabin experience, reclining seat, free pre-booked meal, legroom, and complimentary beverages.
