Emirates Flights
Emirates is a prominent airline of the Gulf region and one of the two flag carriers of UAE. Based in Dubai, the airline flies to close to 150 destinations in 85 countries which makes it an airline with enviable global reach. In addition, its codeshare partnership with 35 other airlines enhances its reach globally. Emirates Baggage Allowance
a) Check-in Baggage
The check-in baggage allowance depends on route of flight and the cabin class of travel.
- For flights within Americas and between US and Europe, economy passengers are allowed 1 bag of up to 23 kg for Special and Saver fares and 2 bags of up to 23 kg each for Flex and Flex Plus fares, Premium Economy 2 bags of 23 kg each and Business and First Classes allow 2 bags of 32 kg each. Size of each check in bag shall not be more than 150 cm linear dimensions (L+B+H).
- For flights to/from Americas and Africa (except the ones within Americas and from US to Europe), the allowance for Economy class is 1 bag of 23 kg for Special Fare and 2 bags of 23 kgs each for other economy fares, 2 bags of 23 kg each for Premium Economy and for Business and First Class cabins, the allowance is 2 bags of 32 kg each. Size of each check in bag shall not be more than 150 cm linear dimensions (L+B+H).
- For flights to other destinations, the weight-system of baggage allowance applies. Economy class travelers are allowed 20 kg in Special fare, 25 kg in Saver, 30 kg in Flex and 35 kg in Flex Plus fare classes. Premium Economy passengers are allowed 35 kg per person, Business Class allows 40 kg and First Class 50 kg. Size of each check in bag shall not be more than 300 cm linear dimensions (L+B+H).
b) Carry-on Baggage
Economy class passengers are allowed 7 kg cabin bag. Premium Economy travelers are allowed 10 kg. Business and First Class passengers are allowed 7 kg carry-on and 7 kg briefcase or garment bag. Size of briefcase shall not be more than 45 by 35 by 20 cm and that of the cabin bag shall not be more than 55 by 38 by 22 cm. Linear dimensions of the cabin bag shall not be more than 115 cm.
c) Excess Baggage Charges
If the weight, size and number of check-in bags is more than free allowance, then excess baggage charges have to be paid. These can be paid in advance of your travel date at discounted rates to the airport charges.
