Darjeeling

Nestled high in the Himalayas at an elevation of 2134m, 'Dorje Ling,' the Land of the Thunderbolt, presents awe-inspiring vistas of snow-clad mountain peaks, with Kanchendzonga standing taller than all others. Often hailed as the "Mistress of the Hills," it continues to captivate with its charming waterfalls, quaint villages, and a meandering narrow-gauge railway. Darjeeling remains among the world's most enchanting destinations, enveloped by renowned tea gardens and majestic snow-covered mountains. In his book 'Exploring India's Hill Stations,' Graeme Westlake describes Darjeeling as offering a "View Almost Unmatched Anywhere on Earth." Attractions like Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop, the War Memorial, Ghoom Monastery, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, and the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda beckon visitors to explore this splendid locale.

Kalimpong

Perched at an elevation of 1250m, Kalimpong's setting is perfect for a serene and leisurely escape. Its mild climate has earned Kalimpong's orchids and gladioli widespread acclaim. Until the early 1700s, the Kalimpong region was a part of the Sikkim Raja's territory. In the early 18th century, it came under the rule of the Bhutan king. Following the Anglo-Bhutan War in 1865, it was incorporated into Darjeeling. Scottish missionaries arrived here in the late 1800s, and the town thrived as a hub for wool trading with Tibet until the 1950s. Today, it stands as a tranquil hillside retreat and a haven for retirees.

Sikkim

Perched within the embrace of the Eastern Himalayas, surrounded by towering mountain peaks, within breathtaking landscapes of pristine lakes, lush forests, rushing rivers, and serene streams, SIKKIM stands as an earthly paradise, a destination for every season. Once an independent kingdom, since 1975, it has become a small, landlocked state within India. A remarkable seventy percent of its terrain remains untouched by the encroachments of modern civilization.

A visit to Sikkim is characterized by the enchanting monasteries that are an integral part of its soul. In these sacred places, the divine mingles with mortals. Built in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, specifically the Nyingma and Kargyu sects, these monasteries are nestled amid dense forests and perch on secluded hilltops. They serve as hosts to a myriad of festivals, offering a unique spectacle of grandeur and tradition.

Gangtok

Gangtok, the capital and largest town of Sikkim, is perched in the Shivalik Hills within the eastern Himalayan range, resting at an altitude of 1,437 meters (4,715 feet). This charming town, home to a diverse population of around thirty thousand individuals hailing from various ethnic backgrounds like Indian Nepalis, Lepchas, and Bhutia, falls under the jurisdiction of the "Gangtok Municipal Corporation." Cradled amidst the towering Himalayan peaks and blessed with a year-round mild and temperate climate, Gangtok holds the epicenter of Sikkim's bustling tourism industry.

Gangtok ascended to eminence as a revered Buddhist pilgrimage destination following the establishment of the Enchey Monastery in 1840. In 1894, the ruling Sikkimese Chogyal, Thutob Namgyal, designated Gangtok as the new capital. During the early 20th century, Gangtok evolved into a significant stopover on the trade route linking Lhasa in Tibet with cities like Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) in British India. In the wake of India's independence from British rule in 1947, Sikkim retained its status as an independent monarchy, with Gangtok as its cherished capital. However, in 1975, following the integration with the Union of India, Gangtok was designated as the twenty-second state capital of India.

Pelling

Pelling, a quaint town nestled in the western region of Sikkim, is a serene destination that draws travelers from all corners of the country. This tranquil town is perched near the foothills of the majestic Kanchenjunga, offering an unparalleled view of the mountain's grandeur. Pelling boasts a plethora of scenic spots waiting to be explored, with its monasteries gracing the countryside as the primary attractions. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of these monastic retreats, such as the Pemayangtse Monastery and Sangachoeling Monastery, where you'll discover an array of sculptures and paintings without the crowds. The Sangachoeling Monastery in particular, provides a panoramic vantage point. If your visit coincides with January, you'll have the opportunity to witness the Cham dance at Pemayangtse Monastery.

Lachen

Lachen is a picturesque village located in the Indian state of Sikkim. It sits at a high altitude in the North Sikkim district and is surrounded by stunning Himalayan landscapes. Lachen serves as a base for exploring some of the most pristine and remote areas in the region, making it a popular destination for trekkers and nature enthusiasts. The village is known for its serene environment, glistening lakes, and access to destinations like Gurudongmar Lake and Chopta Valley. It's a gateway to experiencing the natural beauty and unique culture of North Sikkim.

Lachung

Lachung, a charming town situated in the Indian state of Sikkim, graces the northern reaches of North Sikkim district, perched at an altitude of 9,600 feet. This picturesque locale is a sought-after destination where two tributaries, Lachung and Lachen, converge, ultimately joining the Teesta River. Lachung's popularity among tourists is owed to its abundance of waterfalls and the majestic backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

Elevated at 8,800 feet, Lachung is an idyllic sanctuary for those seeking moments of tranquility. The journey to Lachung winds through quaint villages, scenic vistas, and cascading waterfalls. In recent times, efforts have been made to make Lachung more accessible to tourists in an organized manner. It would not be an exaggeration to describe Lachung as a real-life Shangri-La on Earth.

Terms & Conditions

If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.

If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (for instance, bad weather): - we shall first try to offer you alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn't already commenced. - If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged from you on a pro-rata basis depending on portion of the tour standing utilized by you. - In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited refunding to you the price we charged as the tour fees.

Change Your Holiday Plan

After confirmation of services, if you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do our utmost to make these changes, but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be in writing from the person who made the booking. All cost incurred due to amendment will be borne by yourself.

If You Have a Complaint

If you have a problem during your holiday, PLEASE INFORM THE RELEVANT SUPPLIER, (e.g. your hotelier, transporter etc.) and/or our representative IMMEDIATELY who will endeavor to put things right. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 28 days of your return home by writing to us, giving your booking reference and all other relevant information. However, please be advised that while we are happy to assist you in the redressal of your complaint, if any, we will be able to extend only our best efforts in managing/coordinating your complaint with the respective service provider. All third-party service providers are independent contractors who at no time are under our control or supervision.

Our Liability to You

We accept responsibility for ensuring that your travel arrangements, which you book with us, are supplied as represented and promised to you. If any parts of your travel arrangements are not provided as promised, due to the fault of our employees, agents, we will pay you appropriate compensation if this has affected the enjoyment of your travel arrangements. Our liability in all cases shall be limited to the costs of your travel arrangements.

We do not accept any responsibility for any third-party services or service providers, like hotels, transport etc. For example, travel delays are the responsibility of the transporters and inefficient hospitality is the responsibility of the hotels.

We are only your tour operator and at no time do we act as managers for your respective responsibilities and personal obligations. We are therefore not responsible for your acts, misdemeanor, omissions, and neither are we responsible for managing any of your personal affairs; for example, we are not responsible for ensuring the safety of your personal belongings, travel documents, etc. at any time before the commencement of the tour or after it or during the tour.

Holiday Insurance

It will be your responsibility to purchase any sort of holiday insurance cover and we are not responsible for the same.

Exactness Not Guaranteed

We cannot and do not guarantee the exactness of any service that may be provided to you. For instance, photographs of the interiors of the hotel rooms posted on our website have been sourced from the respective Hotel management, the visual appeal of a room selected by you cannot and is not guaranteed by us. Similarly, while we assure you of enjoyable holidays, we cannot and do not guarantee or represent that such tour will be as per your mental perception, imagination or thought about such tours.

General Important Notes

In case there is any change in price the same will be communicated to yourself and only after your confirmation, we will proceed further. There will be no reduction for un-utilized services.

Surcharges may be applicable over and above the holiday price for the requested period. The same will be advised at the time of booking or prior to confirmations.

You need to make an advance payment at the time of confirming the tour and make the balance payment 35 days prior to the departure of the tour.

Forfeiture Of Deposits

We shall be within our rights to forfeit the non- refundable interest free deposit paid by you. In the event you cancel the booking, or on failure on your part to adhere to the tour payment schedule as informed in the documentation Check List, or in the event the visa of any country is not granted or you are unable to travel on the tour booked due to any reason whatsoever, including medical ground or sickness, the non-refundable interest free deposits shall stand forfeited, and the scale of cancellation set out in the How To Book section of the brochure shall be applicable and binding.

No employees of our Company or our agents have the authority to amend, modify or change these conditions, and you are advised to rely on the terms "as is".
